Midwest Fine Arts FAST :: Crating & Fine Art Prepartion Service
Fine Art Packing and Crating Services...
In order to safely transport art, the delicate cargo needs to be properly packaged to meet the rigors of shipping; therefore each piece of art and the method of conveyance dictate the methodology of packing it.

MidWest F.A.S.T. features professional staff who can best advise you of how to best package your art and have the ability to do it for you. Some diagnostic work by one of our team members could prove to be a great benefit. For example, while some pieces may travel short distances by merely wrapping them in shipping blankets or soft-wrappings, others may need “Box in Crate”, or international hard crating. Sculptures offer particularly unique challenges as each piece brings with it its own aspects to consider in the packing and shipping process.

Call us today and arrange to have our experts review your needs. It could save you restoration costs later.

Art Preparatory Services...
There are basically two phases of art preparatory services… one involves preparing art for travel or other reasons; and the other prepares the art for installation.

MidWest F.A.S.T. can do both!

Our team has worked directly with some of the top conservators in the country to safely uninstall/remove paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and even painted-on-wall murals. Sometimes this work requires us to do preparation work in some very uninviting locations (40’ above the floor), and then prepare the pieces to be safely transported for restoration or storage. Reversing the operation and reinstalling the pieces including new hanging systems and the like presents its own set of situations, although MidWest F.A.S.T. is equipped to handle them all.

When it comes to art handling, no one can do it better than MidWest F.A.S.T.
