Carney-McNicholas, Inc. has just completed a purchase agreement for the name and assets of Midwest Fine Arts Service and Transportation Co. (sometimes called Midwest FAST) of Kipton, Ohio.  Midwest FAST packs and ships fine art and is well known regionally to museums, galleries, and collectors.

Marvin and Judy Fannin, founders of Midwest Fine Arts Services and Transportation (Midwest-F.A.S.T.) are proud to announce their merger with Carney-McNicholas, Inc.

“With constant increases in fuel, insurance, and operating expenses, this merger will provide better and more efficient logistics in the transportation and handling of all mediums of art”, Marvin Fannin announced.

Carney-McNicholas, Inc., with over 100 years of experience, provides a fleet of over 50 vehicles featuring air-ride suspension, lift-gates, climate control, and equipment sizes from 15 foot cube vans to 75 foot long tractor trailer rigs.  Carney's affiliation with United Van Lines expands access to a fleet of specialized trucks to over 7000. The combination maintains the personalized care and individual attention that Midwest Fine Arts is known for, while greatly expanding the scope and services now available.

“We wish to thank all the faithful clients we have serviced over these past 15 years,” said Marvin Fannin; many have become close personal friends.

Handling and transporting art,” Fannin commented, “is not only a monetary thing, but, it is very personal endeavor as well.  The Artist pours their person and soul into a creation, it is like their child.  The Collector respects and reflects their love of a piece and/or its creator.  Museums collect and protect art, to be appreciated and interpreted for the future generations to enjoy.  They all entrust their precious objects to us to safely protect and move through its various journeys.  The combination of our services greatly enhances our ability to serve the Fine Arts Community.”

It is with this philosophy that Marvin and Judy born and operated Midwest Fine Arts and the staff at Carney-McNicholas is committed to perpetuating their support of the arts.

Marvin, Rick, Michael and Midwest F.A.S.T.'s trained staff will continue to provide  the finest service and consideration for their current clients.  This will be enhanced with changes such as more cost effective coast to coast shipping; international crating and forwarding, including Mexico and Canada; and scheduled routine regional shuttles.
